This is the Web site of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers, Inc. ASMP, founded in 1944, has more than 5,000 members in 39 chapters across the USA, and members in 37 foreign countries. The national ASMP Web site, and a list of the Society's members, can be found at http://www.asmp.org, or can be reached immediately by clicking on the address. The New Jersey Chapter includes some of the finest names in the industry. Many are spotlighted within this website.

The ASMP has three purposes:
• To protect and promote the interests of photographers whose work is for publication.
• To promote high professional standards and ethics.
• To cultivate friendship and mutual understanding between photographers.

ASMP-NJ web portfolio order form
Available to ASMP-NJ general members. For only $50 per year, general members may exhibit up to ten photos along with text block, links to personal email address and other web site.

Portfolio fees
Initial page: $50, includes space for up to ten photos (provided in digital format), text block, photographer's logo, email link and personal web site link. Price of each additional page: $50.

With an annual renewal, all information, photos and layout may be changed without additional fees. Fees for additional changes during the year: $25

Updates need to be submitted by Jan. 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 1 and will be posted within 15 days. Anything received after those dates will be posted by the next cycle.

Formats
Digital photos must be supplied as JPEG. Digital photos must be emailed to lfisher@ElfMultimedia.com

Your page will have ten thumbnail images which enlarge when clicked on. Photo size: 72 dpi. Widest dimension: 300 pixels (4-1/8 inches). That means the photo is either 300 pixels tall or 300 pixels wide. Size your photos before sending them. They must be jpeg format and you must name the files "yourname#.jpg"

Also, create a second set where each image is 65 pixels on the longest dimension.
* ASMP cannot help you create your image file.

Text block: Text description about you and your business. Please limit to 50 words.
Member name, e-mail, phone, and city are automatically listed with the information you submit. Maximum of 50 words. Must be provided in digital form. Acceptable format are Microsoft Word, Notebook, Simple Text, Ascii or text.

Other Stuff
Member's logo may be incorporated for no additional charge. The same digital file formats used for photos are needed for logos, with the additional of GIF. Logos should be sized to 200 pixels as the longest dimension.

A copyright notice will be placed on all pages.

The lead-in page of the portfolio section will list photographer's name, city, phone number and one photo. A click will take viewers to the photographer's individual page where the text block and 10 photos will be located.

* The Board of Directors of ASMP -NJ reserves the right to reject portfolio images and text based upon inappropriate content or quality.
