This is the website of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). Our Chapter includes some of the finest names in the industry, many of whom are spotlighted within this website.

December Salon
Joe Brady of Color Systems will demonstrate how to accurately view images on a computer screen, for evaluation and editing, and then have the same images reproduce consistently on different printers.

Nat Clymer from Flashes Of Hope will explain the charitable concept behind the organization. Some participating NJ photographers will describe their experiences and show some of the work done pro-bono.

Who We Are:
The American Society of Media Photographers is a trade organization which promotes photographers' rights, educates photographers in better business practices, and produces business publications for photographers. It was founded in 1944 by a handful of the world's leading photojournalists and is recognized internationally for its leadership role. ASMP has over 6,000 members, including many of the world's greatest photographers, in 39 chapters nationwide.
ASMP has three purposes:
- To protect and promote the interests of photographers whose work is for publication.
- To promote high professional standards and ethics.
- To cultivate friendship and mutual understanding between photographers.
Mission Statement of the New Jersey Chapter of ASMP:
Our Chapter exists to promote professionalism in photography within the State of New Jersey. To that end, the Chapter encourages active membership and public awareness via educational programs. ASMP-NJ is committed to open communication between chapter members, the photographic industry and other creative professionals. The Chapter embraces the professional and ethical standards of the American Society of Media Photographers.
